2021-06-18 09:12:49 Important Topics & Chapters for JEE Main 2021 Preparation

Generally, JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, is about covering the surface rather than going into depth. Larger the part of the JEE Main syllabus you have covered, better you remain in the battle. As the time is getting closer and only are few months are there to go, selective study comes into play. Below are the important topics for JEE Main preparation.

Important Topics of JEE Main Physics

The JEE Main Physics important chapters along with the topics are given below:

1. Dimensional Analysis – This chapter seems easy but don't you dare to underestimate it. It's a soft corner with really fruitful result.
2. Gravitation & Electrostatics – These chapters are conceptually synonymous to each other. Tackling these twins may really get you to a good score.
3. Current electricity.
4. Electromagnetic Induction, Waves & Sound, Geometrical Optics, Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory of Gases.

Above topics are really a ray of hope for those who see Mechanics as their nightmares. These topics can really save you if physics has not been a good friend of yours so far.

Apart from that, Rotational dynamics is the favourite topic of JEE Main. So for those who really crave for a good score mustn't ignore it. Such topics which are the part of JEE Main 2020 but they don't find their place in JEE ADVANCED like Semiconductors is better contenders to appear in your question paper at the day of judgement.

Important Topics of JEE Main Maths

The JEE Main Maths important chapters along with the topics are given below:

Unlike Physics & Chemistry, Mathematics is a subject where prioritizing the topics isn't possible to a large extent. Mathematics of JEE Main attempts to cover all the sections with similar priorities.

Still, if you find yourself more familiar to Coordinate Geometry & you are threatened by trigonometry. Then, keep working at making your strong space really strong.

Like in the case of Differential calculus & Integral Calculus, students usually find the former easier.

Also, there are topics like mathematical reasoning and Limits and Functions which are supposedly the basic topics and we can expect at least two or more than two questions from these chapters. Probability also covers at least 6% of the entire section. In such cases, they may make the former their strong point. But again, Main is all about covering the larger surface, so being totally unaware of Integral may put you in trouble. So, avoid being completely selective. JEE Main Maths follows a fixed pattern. There are fixed number and almost fixed type of questions asked on fixed topics every year.

Important Topics of JEE Main Chemistry

The JEE Main Chemistry important chapters along with the topics are given below:

Chemistry is considered to be the most scoring subject of JEE. It is the best chance for rankers. For some, it is a support to stay in the race.
Important topics include :

1. Chemical Bonding & the periodic table: These are by far the most fundamental and the most important topics in Chemistry. You will be finding plenty of question from these corners.

2. Carbonyl Compounds & their derivatives: The best part about this topic is that it links many other topics of organic chemistry together.

3. Redox Reactions

4. Mole Concept

5. Solutions

6. Thermo-Chemistry & the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

Please note that these topics are the favourite topics of JEE Main as per the previous year trends, but JEE is expected to give surprises. That's what JEE is all about. So, be prepared for the worst circumstances.

2021-06-17 12:23:02 Important Paragraph from NCERT(Reproduction in Organisms)

Paragraph:
You must have heard about the scourge of the water bodies or about the ‘terror of Bengal’. This is nothing but the aquatic plant ‘water hyacinth’ which is one of the most invasive weeds found growing wherever there is standing water. It drains oxygen from the water, which leads to death of fishes. You will learn more about it in Chapters 13 and 14. You may find it interesting to know that this plant was introduced in India because of its beautiful flowers and shape of leaves. Since it can propagate vegetatively at a phenomenal rate and spread all over the water body in a short period of time, it is very difficult to get rid off them.

2021-06-17 12:23:02 Important Paragraph from NCERT (Morphology of Flowering Plants)

Paragraph:
5.1 THE ROOT
In majority of the dicotyledonous plants, the direct elongation of the radicle leads to the formation of primary root which grows inside the soil. It bears lateral roots of several orders that are referred to as secondary, tertiary, etc. roots. The primary roots and its branches constitute the tap root system, as seen in the mustard plant (Figure 5.2a). In monocotyledonous plants, the primary root is short lived and is replaced by a large number of roots. These roots originate from the base of the stem and constitute the fibrous root system, as seen in the wheat plant (Figure 5.2b). In some plants, like grass, Monstera and the banyan tree, roots arise from parts of the plant other than the radicle and are called adventitious roots (Figure 5.2c). The main functions of the root system are absorption of water and minerals from the soil, providing a proper anchorage to the plant parts, storing reserve food material and synthesis of plant growth regulators.

2021-06-17 12:23:02 Important Paragraph from NCERT (Animal Kingdom)
Paragrapgh:

4.2.4 Phylum – Platyhelminthes They have dorso-ventrally flattened body, hence are called flatworms (Figure 4.9). These are mostly endoparasites found in animals including human beings. Flatworms are bilaterally symmetrical, triploblastic and acoelomate animals with organ level of organisation. Hooks and suckers are present in the parasitic forms. Some of them absorb nutrients from the host directly through their body surface. Specialised cells called flame cells help in osmoregulation and excretion. Sexes are not separate. Fertilisation is internal and development is through many larval stages. Some members like Planaria possess high regeneration capacity.
