Picts StoneA team of scientists discovered a 1.7-meter stone in a farmer's field during geophysical investigations. The slab is covered with classic Pictish abstract symbols. It depicts triple ovals, a ridge, a mirror, a crescent moon, a V-shaped rod and double disks. According to archaeologists, it dates from the V-VI centuries.
The stone was used in the construction of a huge building of the 11th or 12th century. It was erected over a settlement of Picts.
