When War comes into your life, you can choose several roads.
You can run away from War. You can go to the other side of the world, as far away as possible, and live there. But the War will not disappear from your life. It will just be a long way away.
If you were originally far away from the War and yearn with all your heart to end it, but are unable to participate personally, you can lend a helping hand to the defenders. Moral, material, prayerful. Giving them in this way additional strength in the battles.
If the place where the War came is very dear to you, you can stay living on its terms. And accept that her constant companion, Death, may come to you as night comes after day. But with your life here, you will, underneath, be to the defenders a manifestation of the Life they are protecting. Provided, of course, that your life is that of a human being and not that of a parasite.
If you are a defender, being at War is a commitment to your life. And, let's face it, even then, it is possible to run away from War. Sitting in the rear, avoiding being sent into battle, coming up with a thousand reasons for being away from the place where Death is sorting people out. After all, if Death chooses you, you can't enjoy the benefits you were promised for your time in the War. Such people do not end the War. It does not stop its harvest. The war is ended by others. Those who have left their values behind them. Those who have already died within themselves. Their personal Life has now become a weapon to destroy the War. And Death has become their shells, bullets and grenades. They themselves have become Death, taking the lives of those who long for the continuation of the War. They became Death, so that Life could continue behind their backs.
