(1) He is non-inflammable and light gas, so it is used in filling balloons for meteorological observations.
(2) He is used in gas cooled nuclear reactors.
(3) Liquid He is used as cryogenic agent.

(5) Ne is used in discharge tubes.
(6) Ar is used as inert atmosphere in metallurgical process.
