Amazing Fantasy #15 (1962)
Peter Parker is but a lonely high-school student until one day whilst he attends a science experiment during which a spider absorbs an uncanny amount of radiation before biting him. Soon after Peter discovers that he has gained powers similar to that of a spider – he is incredibly strong, can stick to walls and now has increased senses.
Deciding to use his newfound powers to earn some money he creates the identity of ‘Spider-Man’ for himself and soon becomes an overnight sensation. With his new found fame and success Peter becomes much more selfish and fails to stop a fleeing criminal claiming from now on he only looks out for himself and his Aunt and Uncle.
