Real Madrid vs Chelsea

Benzema with his hat-trick brought a valuable victory to Real Madrid in London. 3-1 is a fantastic result and an opportunity for the Spanish club to play another Champions League semi-final. In the meantime, they beat Getafe 2-0 in LaLiga and came a little closer to another Spanish title. The initial part of the season did not suggest that Real Madrid will be this good at the very end, but it still has too much quality to remain unseen.

Bayern Munich vs Villarreal

While Bayern were expected to make relatively easy work of the Spaniards coming into this tie, Villarreal performed exceptionally to claim a surprise 1:0 advantage ahead of Tuesday's return fixture.Failing to score for the first time since a 5:0 DFB Pokal defeat at Monchengladbach in October, Bayern lacked their usual pace and power in attack and will need a much-improved display if they are to take their place in the semi-finals.
