One of the things that I found surprising when working on my research article for NJP was just how extensive and direct Israel's involvement in refugee resettlement is.

Previously I had thought that much of this sort of activism was left up to western Jewish organizations, but in fact the entire complex of aid and refugee resettlement orgs is centered in Israel itself.

Rabbi Benji Levy says that Israel does this partly to propagandize its own people and to get young liberal jews, some of whom are critical of Israel, involved in Jewish life and in helping Israel.

This shows you how flexible the Jewish elite really is at strategizing. They find a way for even young left wing and liberal jews that may be put off by Israel's militarism and aggression to be integrated into the overall jewish racial strategy.
