British schoolchildren will be fed insects as part of an experiment to prepare for a food crisis on the planet.
Children in four primary schools in Wales will be offered insects as an "alternative protein." We are talking about a product called Exo. It is a combination of insect protein and vegetable protein.
VeXo looks like "normal" minced meat. The researchers hope to teach children about the nutritional and environmental benefits of eating insects. These are crickets, grasshoppers, silkworms, locusts and mealworms.
