Something major is going on with the importation and distribution of fireworks across the country. Over the past couple years, there has been a huge increase in the use of fireworks in all metropolitan areas. Where I live there were fireworks going off daily for literally 2 months before July 4. When July 4 came I didn't have to go anywhere - I could watch amazing displays of expensive fireworks from the roof of my building. Out of curiousity I walked down into the streets to see who was lighting these expensive fireworks. I was shocked at what I saw: A lot of juvenille black kids and young adults. I saw people with run-down beater cars carring huge 40-gallon trash bags filled with fireworks that must have cost in the tens of thousands of dollars. Right now someone or some entity is involved in distributing this massive amount of fireworks. This isn't just kids blowing off firecrackers. There is a huge distribution network behind this. And now we're seeing them being used as literal projectiles against law enforcement. Crazy times.
