Things they are removing from the curriculum: - World War I,
- World War II,
- holocaust,
- the rise and effects of communism and socialism,
- the American Revolution
- the Civil War
Replacing it with:- Recognizing unfairness stereotypes and biases on the individual level, racism (for 1st graders),
- (Re)defining freedom and democracy
- Gender awareness studies - persecution and marginalization of LGBTQ communities. Changing ideas and norms
If this passes this will be in the curriculum for the next 10 years
