Is it because someone might ask them who Alfred Nakache was?(black trunks above) Nakache was a French-Jewish swimmer who raced in front of Hitler at the 1936 Games, broke the world 200m record in 1941, but in 1943 was taken to Auschwitz.

There he became known as the “Swimmer of Auschwitz.” Somehow he miraculously “survived” the “holocaust” and went on to compete in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. Nakache was inducted into the International Jewish Hall of Fame in 1993 and the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2019. He was the subject of a French documentary in 2001, entitled Alfred Nakache, the Swimmer of Auschwitz.
