What Happened to Adamic Awakening?
As many might have noticed, in mid-February the typical flow of posts from the Adamic Awakening channel was interrupted by a vague announcement of a change of management, followed by at least four posts of half-baked copypasta theology. Though it is over a month late, I figured it'd be an injustice to bury the issue without a public announcement for those who are in the dark on the matter. I owe everybody that much.
Unbeknownst to many is that it was not I who originally created the Adamic Awakening channel (it was the continuation of my Instagram account with the same name), but I was admin since day one. It was the owner who delegated the posts and content creation to me, and neither of us had any foreknowledge that we'd go our separate ways. Intuitively, one shouldn't build a house upon foundations owned by another, but after 750+ posts it is easier to say such things in hindsight.
Even when myself and the
de jure owner had gone our own ways earlier last year, the channel remained untouched from the rift and it continued to grow from humble beginnings to 2,800 subscribers. The flashpoint occurred when later last year we began internal debates over the doctrine of the Trinity, and needless to say the majority of us either supported the Trinity or had been corrected in our erroneous thinking and came to accept the Triune God of the Bible. Without digging too deep into the details, this caused a schism between ourselves and the christogenean papacy, as they continue to hold a Modalist and quasi-Arianist dogma of the Godhead. One thing had led to another and the channel's owner took it upon himself to revoke my administrator rights to the channel that our community had built over the course of a year.
I didn't take it too much to heart, as I'd already been losing the time and the spirit to upkeep the schedule of 4-5 posts per week which I once held. The greatest disrespect come when certain posts were systematically deleted [archive] and new posts were written, laying down theological decree on topics the channel once purposefully remained mute on. Though that is water under the bridge now. Those who remain subscribed to Adamic Awakening who are expecting the calibre of content that once adorned the page will surely be disappointed.
To those who ask me if I plan to make a new channel and go another round, I am afraid I will also have to disappoint. I have no intentions of making a new channel in the distant future. I'd told myself as early as the channel purges that I wouldn't pursue another, though I am quite sure that if we started tomorrow we could eclipse the old channel in half the time, I simply do not have the time or inspiration to build a totally new platform from the ground up. Any future posts I feel inspired to write will be found here at @AdamicBranch, where I have gracefully been granted a home.
In closing, I'd like to thank everybody who stuck with us through this journey. Though the path had been arduous, we saw many come to a greater understanding and find fellowship in our work and community, as well as many even coming to find Christ when they knew Him not. Thank you to all of the great friends and channels that helped spread our message. And praise be to the one and only Lord Jesus Christ whose grace granted us the progress we made. The mark we were allowed to leave on the community has astonished us all.
